18th Century Blanket Chest
18th Century lift-top blanket chest, cherry. The chest has an unusual drawer arrangement, with two false drawers over two half-drawers over two full drawers. It sports an old finish and a beautifully scrolled apron. It is in good condition with wear commensurate with age. 18th century, New England.

Portrait of a Boy w/Alphabet Game
Portrait of a boy, o/c, unsigned. In this full-length portrait, the boy is depicted wearing a blue dress and blue pantaloons and holding a basket containing discs from an alphabet game. The painting is in very good condition, but with some looseness to the canvas and minor damage to the frame. Circa 1840, American.

Stoneware Jar w/Sun Face Decoration
Ovoid stoneware jar with a sun face decoration. The jar has a tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, and is decorated on reverse sides with an impressed and cobalt-highlighted medallion featuring a face surrounded by rays. This rare jar was made by the Xerxes Price Pottery in Sayerville, NJ. The pottery was started by James Morgan, Jacob Van Wickle, and the potter Branch Green in 1805. Morgan was a Major General in the NJ Militia and a member of the U.S. Congress from 1811-1813. The jar is in overall good condition, with some rim chips, (one of which occurred during the making), some blemishes in the finish and chips to the foot. Circa 1810, New Jersey.

Painted Cupboard
Painted cupboard. This one-piece cupboard has an old red painted surface, now mellowed to a plum color. It sports a glass door above with 12 panes of mostly wavy glass over a paneled door opening onto a storage area with a single shelf. The cupboard is in very good condition, with wear commensurate with its age. Circa 1820, New England.

William & Mary Gateleg Table
William & Mary gateleg dining table, apple and cherry wood. This unusually large gateleg table sports a beautiful oval top made of apple wood, with original butterfly hinges and chestnut straps attached with rose-headed nails. Custom-forged iron straps were added to reinforce the table. The table is in very good condition, with only minor repairs. Dated by Peter Kenny, formerly of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, as circa 1750, Manhasset, Long Island, NY.
Provenance: Possible descent from Elisha Paine, (1693-1775), and from then through various members of the Paine/Whitney families. Detailed provenance to purchaser.

Queen Anne Tavern Table
Queen Anne tavern table. The table sports a rectangular scrubbed maple top, a base retaining its original red paint, and turned legs ending in pad feet. The top has a shrinkage crack, a slight warp and old repairs. The base has the expected wear from age and usage. Circa 1770-1790, New England.
