Painted pine settle bench. The settle sports a high rectangular back over a chest-form base opening onto a large storage area, all flanked by shaped solid ends and raised on short cut-out feet. It retains its original red paint, with very good proportions. The settle is in very good condition, all original, exhibiting only the expected wear and tear from age and usage. Late 18th or early 19th century, New England.
