18th Century T-Base Candlestand

18th century T-base candlestand, pine, oak and cherry. The candlestand sports old black paint, a rectangular top over a spool and vase-form standard, and an arched oak tenoned and chip-carved T-form base with a turned foot. The candlestand is in good age-appropriate condition, with splits and repairs. A stand with a nearly identical foot is in Nutting, item #1334. Early 18th century, American.

The coverlet sports four colors, with alternating rows of orange, red and green decorated with stylized floral elements throughout and a fringe to three sides. It is inscribed on two corners, “Made By/C. Fehr/ In Emaus/For. 1843.”  The coverlet is in good condition with typical wear for age and usage.
