They are in good condition considering their age, with one sconce having a missing glass panel and the other having cracks in a few panels. Both have some discoloration of the glass. Large swell-body steer weathervane, copper. This weathervane sports a nicely weathered surface with traces of gilt remaining. It is mounted on an unusual incised marble base (not original). The weathervane is in very good condition, with a few dents, a minor seam separation on top and an old repair on the back of one leg. Late 19th century, American.
