Queen Anne two-part highboy, maple. The upper case sports an applied cornice molding over an arrangement of drawers, on a base with a complimenting arrangement of drawers supported by cabriole legs and pad feet. The highboy has an old mellow finish with a warm color and retains its original brasses. It is in good condition, with missing drops under the apron, some shrinkage separation on the side panels, and the expected wear and tear from age and usage. The damaged drawer lip seen on the bottom drawer of the upper section in the photos has now been repaired. 18th century, New England.
