Exceptionally large wooden grain scoop, maple. The scoop has a very sculptural form and a beautifully shaped handle. This lovely piece of treen is in very good condition, with a make-do repair near the handle, and dates from the mid-19th century or earlier.

Two-gallon ovoid stoneware jug with a floral decoration. The jug is stamped, "L & B.C. Chace, Somerset", along with the number "2". It is in very good condition, marred only by a few firing defects, but no cracks or chips. Circa 1850, Massachusetts.

Oval Foot Warmer
Rare oversized oval foot warmer, wood and tin, with an iron bail handle. The foot warmer sports its original finish, chamfered posts, an attractive punch decoration with a heart cutout on the door and the original pan. It dates from the late 18th century and is in excellent condition.

Hudson Valley Landscape Painting - Hidley
Naive Hudson River landscape painting, o/c, unsigned. The scene is of two men looking across the Hudson River at a small town nestled at the base of a mountain. The mountains and sky have a nice purplish tone, similar to the color and mood when viewing the Hudson from a distance. The gold leaf frame is original. Attributed to Joseph Hidley, (1830-1872). Hidley was an itinerant artist and handyman who lived in Poestenkill, NY for much of his life.
