It is painted with an attractive mustard paint, having been repainted at least twice during its lifetime. The chair is in very good condition and fit for everyday use. 19th Century, New England.

Still Life Theorem on Velvet

Folk art still life theorem on velvet. The theorem depicts a blue and white porcelain pitcher, a watermelon, a basket of fruit and other fruit sitting on a wooden tray. It is housed under glass in a later giltwood frame with carved corner elements. The theorem is in fair-good condition, with toning and staining, particularly to the border. Not examined out of the frame. 19th century, possibly Southern.

Matched Set of 6 Queen Anne Chairs

Matched set of six Queen Anne chairs. The chairs sport original Spanish brown paint, a finely carved yolk crest rail with a delicate vase form splat, rush seats and a beautifully developed block and ring turned stretcher base on carved Spanish feet. Each chair comes with a later red and white checked cushion. The chairs are in good to very good condition, structurally sound, some with minor losses to the Spanish feet, and with other wear commensurate with age and usage. Circa 1750, Connecticut.
