Matched set of six Queen Anne chairs. The chairs sport original Spanish brown paint, a finely carved yolk crest rail with a delicate vase form splat, rush seats and a beautifully developed block and ring turned stretcher base on carved Spanish feet. Each chair comes with a later red and white checked cushion. The chairs are in good to very good condition, structurally sound, some with minor losses to the Spanish feet, and with other wear commensurate with age and usage. Circa 1750, Connecticut.
