William & Mary make-do fireside chair. The chair is upholstered in homespun linsey Woolsey fabric and sports an arched back flanked by shaped wings over rolled arms and a trapezoidal seat, all supported by turned legs connected by a turned front stretcher with bulbous turnings and simple side and rear stretchers. It is in good overall condition with typical moderate wear to the quilted upholstery with several small holes present. Early 18th century, New England.
