Diminutive hooded pewter cupboard. The cupboard sports an overhanging rectangular top over three shelves, the uppermost having a plate groove. Below is a single door opening onto an interior with one shelf. The red paint is early, perhaps original, and the hinges and turnbuckle are original as well. The cupboard is in good condition, with the expected wear from age and usage and with the initials, “CVH” , carved in the front. Early 19th century, New England.
