Early Queen Anne lift-top blanket chest, pine. The chest sports two false drawers over two half drawers and three full drawers. The drawers are constructed with large dovetails and are surrounded by early double-arch molding. The chest is painted with the original red wash and features a high carved base with “Cupid’s bow” cutouts. Other features include wooden hinges, early hand-forged rose-headed and “T” nails, and old, possibly original brasses. The chest is in very good condition. Circa 1750, New England.
