Wooden Foot Warmer
A hard-to-find decorated wooden foot warmer. The foot warmer is nicely decorated on all four sides and the lid. The decoration on the front panel includes a heart and the initials, “LW”. The foot warmer sports a wire handle and the original metal coal tray. It is in very good condition, with only a minor repair necessitated by an interior burn and the expected wear and tear from age and usage. Wooden foot warmers are harder to find since many of them burned up during use. Late 18th or early 19th century, found in the Hudson Valley. From our private collection.
