Full-bodied molded copper gamecock weathervane. The weathervane has cast iron feet and flat copper tail feathers. It is in very good condition, with some rust to the feet and some loss to the gold paint. The weathervane sits on a contemporary metal stand.

Provenance: Estate of Joseph “Jay” St. Mark of Newtown, Connecticut, historian, appraiser and collector of fine Americana.

Two-door pine cupboard. The cupboard is attractively decorated with unusual inset diamonds and chip carving on the front and both sides. Other features include an attractive cornice, and beaded backboards. The interior has a large storage area with three removable shelves, (the fourth shelf is missing but can be added if desired). The hinges are stamped “Clark Patent”. The cupboard is in very good condition, with an attractive soft finish and traces of at least two coats of paint. 19th century, Probably Canadian.

Painted Pennsylvania two-part Dutch cupboard. The cupboard sports original red and white paint, a bold cornice, two glass doors in the top section, each with six panes of old wavy glass, and attractive rope-turned trim framing both top and bottom sections. The bottom section has two small drawers over two raised panel doors. The cupboard is in very good condition and is all original, except that the pie shelf has been built up by 3½” inches. 19th century, Pennsylvania.

An outstanding pie safe, maple and pine, with 12 punched tin panels. The case has a scrolled backsplash and a shaped cut-out base. Two punched tin panels read, “G. Daggett/Maker” and “Kankakee City/Ill’s”. Other panels are decorated with horses, roosters and floral themes. The pie safe is refinished and in good condition, with a chip in the proper right drawer front and another chip out of the proper left rear foot. 19th century, Illinois.

The painting depicts two Native Americans in a wooded area looking out over a river landscape, with mountains on the far shore. It is housed in a bold tiger maple frame and stamped “Troy, NY” on the back of the canvas. The painting is in good condition, having been professionally conserved, unlined, with two patches on the back and some in-painting visible under black light. 19th century, New York.
