Endearing folk art portrait of two siblings, oil on a wooden panel, unsigned. The children are sitting in a field eating strawberries. The painting is in very good condition, having been professionally conserved to repair a crack in the board and with some minor in-painting. The frame is new. Circa 1830, American.

4-Gal Stoneware Crock - Bird w/Insect
Four-gallon cobalt decorated stoneware crock. The crock has an unusual decoration of a bird with an insect in its mouth. It is stamped, “N. Clark, JR/ Athens, NY” along with the number “4”. The crock is in very good condition, with no cracks or chips. N. Clark Jr. was in business from 1843-1891.

Painted Tall Chest
18th century tall chest, maple. The chest sports a rich old stain, an applied molded top, six graduated drawers with old and likely original brasses, and a bold bracket base. The secondary wood is chestnut. The chest is in good condition, with shrinkage separations, minor lip loss to the lower drawer and wear commensurate with age. Circa 1780, Rhode Island.

William & Mary Tavern Table
William & Mary tavern table. The table sports a scrubbed pine top and a maple box stretcher base with wonderful early turnings and original old worn paint. The table is in good condition with a repair to a crack on the top. Mid-18th century, New England.

English Lambing Chair
English lambing chair, elm. This boxed armchair sports a scrolled crest, a roped seat covered with an upholstered pad, a drawer extending from one side and front turned legs with iron strapping. One hand-hold has a carved circular depression, perhaps to hold a candle. The chair has excellent color and patination. It is in very good condition with some loss to the wing back and wear commensurate with age.
The lambing chair was probably intended for use by the male head of household, and is also said to have been used by shepherds at lambing time. 18th century, English.

Early Country Hutch Table
Early country hutch table. The table sports a round, three-board top, with beautiful patina, and a beautifully shaped base in old red paint supported by pad feet. “Slippers” have been added to the feet to raise the height of the table. These can easily be removed if desired. The table is a nice small size and is in very good condition, with some repairs to the base. Circa 1770, Hudson Valley or Long Island, NY.

Running Horse Weathervane
Full-bodied running horse weathervane, copper with a cast iron head. The horse has an attractive patina with traces of gilt. It is in good condition, with some repairs and minor seam separation. Late 19th century, American.

Stoneware Crock - Weston & Gregg
One and a half gallon cobalt decorated stoneware crock. The crock is decorated with a highly stylized bird on a branch and is stamped “Weston & Gregg/Ellenville, NY”. Curiously, this 1.5 gallon crock is stamped with a “6”, which must refer to six quarts. Weston & Gregg were only in business for two years, (1869-1870). The crock is in very good condition, but with staining and an age line. Circa 1870, New York.
