Painted pewter cupboard. The cupboard is painted with old red paint, and has two upper shelves over a single raised panel door with H&L hinges and two interior shelves. Lots of storage beneath and on both sides of opening. The cupboard was probably a built-in cupboard in an early house. Therefore, backboards were added later. The cupboard is in good condition with replaced hinges and the expected wear and tear from age and usage. 18th century, New England.

Eldred Wheeler Corner Cupboard

Bench-made Eldred Wheeler two-part corner cupboard, birdseye and figured maple. The top section sports an applied cornice over two arched raised panel doors and three scalloped shelves. The lower section has two doors and one shelf. Both sections are fitted with brass “H” hinges and are supported by an applied Chippendale bracket base. Very good condition, 20th century.

The secondary wood is chestnut. The chest is in good condition, with shrinkage separations, minor lip loss to the lower drawer and wear commensurate with age. Circa 1780, Rhode Island.
