Continuous-arm, brace-back Windsor armchair. The chair sports a nice, warm finish, bold turnings and a nicely shaped saddle seat. It is stamped underneath, “E B Tracy”. Ebenezer Tracy, (1744-1803), was one of the most prolific chair makers of his time. The chair is in fair to good condition with a repaired crack in the seat and wear commensurate with its age. Late 18th century, Connecticut.
