Federal tiger maple slant-front desk. The desk has a hinged lid opening onto an attractive interior with drawers and cubbies, above four graduated drawers and a scrolled apron, all with very strong tiger striping and a warm old finish. It is in very good condition, with a very slight warpage to the lid and the expected wear from age and usage. The brasses are replaced with custom made replicas. All in all, this is a very special desk! Circa 1800, American.
