A soldier’s wooden barrel keg-form field canteen. The canteen sports original red paint and a fingered staved construction with fitted ends and the original wooden plug. One end has scratched initials, “BK”. The canteen is in very good condition, marred only by a tiny crack in one of the staves and the expected wear from age and usage. 19th century, American.
