Pennsylvania folk art fractur, watercolor, pen and ink on paper. The fractur consists of a central circle with an inscription in German, part of which states that it was drawn in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The circle is surmounted by a shield and surrounded by two colorful birds, flowers and people, all within a geometric border. The fractur is signed at the bottom by the maker and dated “1810”. It is in good condition, retaining strong colors, with expertly repaired tears, and with some creases, small spots of staining and minor losses to the edges. A label on the back is from “The Old Print Shop”, a well-known art dealership in NYC.
