Early stool with turned wooden legs and a cushion top. The top is made with wool fabric and has the design of a red rose on a black background and bordered with concentric circles in cream and red. The edge of the cover is finished in woven silk tape with red geometric figures on a cream background. The stool is in good condition. The tape edging is a late 19th century replacement. Circa 1820-1840.
