Banister-back armchair. The chair sports old black paint with traces of the original red, a shaped crest, curved arm supports, early turnings and a good rush seat. As it was once converted to a rocker at some point, the feet have small patches at the bottom but have retailed their full height. The chair is in overall good condition with wear consistent with its age. 18th century, New England.
