Appalachian buttocks basket. The basket sports two lids and an applied ring base. The lids are fastened by two wooden pegs on each side – a very unusual feature. The basket is in very good condition, with minor losses to the wrap on the applied base. 19th century, Kentucky or eastern Tennessee.
