Woven splint cheese basket. The basket has a circular top and a hexagonal base. Cheese baskets were used with a cloth covering to separate the curd from the whey during the cheese making process. This basket is in excellent condition, with no breaks or repairs. It makes a wonderful display item when hung on a wall. 19th century.
