Windsor bench or settee. The bench boasts a nice old color, a single board seat with shaped ends, bamboo turnings and very bold turnings on the stretchers underneath the seat. A piece of sculpture in a strictly American form, the bench is in very good condition, marred only by a tight separation in one end of the seat, about 18" long, otherwise displaying only the expected degree of wear and wear from age and usage. Circa 1790, New England.
