Early dry sink, walnut. The dry sink sports a very attractive surface, with two doors opening onto a good sized storage area with a shelf. It appears to have had a till originally, but the cover is now missing. The dry sink is in very good condition, marred only by minor damage to one end of the gallery and the expected degree of wear and tear associated with age and usage. It is unusual to find a dry sink constructed of a hardwood such as walnut. The backboards are also made of walnut and are finished, so the dry sink could be used in the middle of a room if desired.19th century, Southern U.S.
