Shaker knee-hole desk, butternut, (white walnut). The desk sports an attractive top with alternating narrow strips of white walnut and cherry, paneled sides, four drawers on each side with the original brass pulls, and a door with its original knob at the rear of the modesty panel, opening onto a small storage area. Late 19th century, found near Groveland, NY, site of the old Groveland Shaker village.
