An exceptional painted Chippendale tall chest, maple. The chest sports original red paint, with two-half-drawers over six graduated full drawers having overlapping drawer fronts, a beautiful bracket base with spurs and a center drop, and a dovetailed top and bottom. The chest is in excellent structural condition, with no repairs or replacements, except for the brasses. 18th century, New England.
