Folk art paint decorated blanket chest. The chest sports a “tulip” pattern in brown and ochre, with the pattern painted on three sides plus the lid. Other features include a very attractive scrolled apron, original butt hinges and a till in the interior. The chest is in very good condition, marred only by a small repair to the left-front foot, minor damage to the rear of the lid and some paint wear on the lid. Circa 1840, Pennsylvania.
