Hudson Valley Queen Anne side chair. The chair sports a yoke crest rail above a vase-form splat within baluster and ring-turned stiles, a good rush seat, and turned tapered legs ending in bold pad and disk feet. The feet are joined by a turned vase-form front stretcher, with double side stretchers and a single rear stretcher. The chair has old salmon paint over the original black. It is in good condition, tight, and ready for everyday use. 18th century, New York.
