A small folk art sled board. The board is painted with the American eagle in gold paint on a blue ground. The eagle is clutching arrows and an olive branch in its talons and holding a banner in its beak with the words, “e pluribus unum”. It stands on a platform on which is printed, “Young America”. Also painted on the board are the initials, “G.H.W.” and Albany”, presumably Albany, NY. The board is in good structural condition but with the expected degree of paint wear from age and usage. Early 19th century.
Dimensions: 25” long x 8” wide.
