Early Ladderback Armchair


18th century four-slat ladderback armchair. The chair sports original black paint worn by usage to a very attractive natural patina. It has excellent finials, sausage turnings on the front stretchers, original button feet and an old rush seat in excellent condition along with an 18th century Linsey-Woolsy seat cushion. The chair was converted into a rocker at one point but has now been restored to its original form. Circa 1760, New England.
