A very early hooded pewter cupboard, pine. The cupboard sports old and probably original green paint, a three-shelf open top with plate grooves, a wide countertop with rounded ends, early moldings, hand-forged butterfly hinges attached with big rose-headed nails, and the original turn buckle, also attached with a rose headed nail. The cupboard is in good condition, with a small hole in the top board and the expected degree of wear from age and usage. Early 18th century, probably Hudson Valley or Mohawk Valley, NY.
