An early chintz quilt for a four-poster bed. The quilt uses lovely fabrics and has early fabric tape on the edges. It is in excellent condition for its age, marred only by two very minor areas of damage along the lower side border, each about an inch long, that should be easy to stabilize. The back of the quilt is linen with a few very minor stain spots. This very beautiful piece dates from the early 19th century.
