Chippendale Wing Chair


Chippendale mahogany wing chair. The chair sports a serpentine crest rail and wings, rolled arms and square, tapered legs joined with an “H” stretcher. It has been reupholstered in leather and is in excellent condition with only a minor repair to the stretcher. It is a large chair and very comfortable. Circa 1790, New England.

Provenance: Deaccessioned from the Wilton House Museum, Richmond, VA. Accessioned in 1951.
