A spectacular Chippendale tiger maple tall chest. The chest sports six graduated drawers on top of a high bracket base, very strong tiger striping, unusual raised molding surrounding the edge of the top, an excellent dovetailed case, and nice wide backboards. It is in very good condition, marred only by a very faint circular mark in the finish on one end. The brasses have been replaced. Circa 1780-1790, New England.
