Chippendale chest on chest, cherry. The upper section has a shaped cornice above four short drawers that surround a deep drawer with a carved fan decoration, all above three long graduated drawers. The lower section has three graduated drawers resting on a high ogee bracket base. The chest sports a beautiful patina with an old, probably original, surface. It is in very good condition with only a single drawer lip repair. The brasses are original. The missing bail shown in the photo has now been replaced. Circa 1780, CT or MA.
