Four gallon stoneware crock, made by the N. Clark, Jr pottery. The crock is decorated with a large, paddle tailed bird sitting on a branch and is stamped "N. Clark, Jr./Athens NY" along with the number "4". It is in very good condition, marred only by a small rim chip, and dates from the last half of the 19th century.
