Antique Steiff Elephant on Wheels

Antique Steiff elephant pull toy on solid wooden wheels, with a Steiff button in one ear and a (non-functional) growler ring.

This elephant was lovingly played with over many years, as evidenced by large areas of worn mohair, one missing eye, a broken tusk and several small worn areas in the fabric. Still, it remains a delightful example of hard-to-find Steiff elephants made in the early 1900's.
